Terra Explore expeditions in partnership with The Maji Moto Maasai Cultural Camp in Kenya and Nariku Travel
We have recently established an exciting new partnership with The Maji Moto Maasai Cultural Camp in Kenya and Nariku Travel to offer a series of unique, life changing trips designed for families and groups alike.
On these expeditions, travelers will be immersed in the life, rhythm, and spirit of the Maasai culture. They will have the opportunity to work side by side with world class conservationists, and take part in cutting edge conservation research efforts such as tracking elephants, counting cheetahs and lions as part of a research study, and working with wildlife rangers removing hunting snares. Participants will be able to interact with local Maasai who are dedicated to preserving their culture, traditions, and the exceptional ecosystem in which they live – as well as taking part in an authentic Maasai cultural ceremony.
Designed to stimulate curiosity about the wonders of the natural world, our trips also allow travelers several opportunities to get involved in activities related to nature, environmental science, sustainability, and indigenous culture. Participants will travel with expedition leaders in an overland vehicle, camping at night and immersing themselves in volunteer work and a multitude of learning experiences throughout the day. In addition, the trips will include students from local communities, giving those on the trip the opportunity to immerse themselves in local Kenyan culture and form new friendships and relationships.
All of our trips are designed in modules offering maximum flexibility for experience and time. We can customize trips to include add ons for river rafting, trekking, safari, or a visit to the Swahili Coast. In addition, members of TCI and Terra Explorer Expeditions will take part in the trips as leaders.

At the moment, we are in the process of finalizing trips for November and December 2022, along with starting the process for the next calendar year.
